Literature Text

Under the age of
twenty-five
He wondered why
he was still alive.
He was only fifteen
And he wanted to be over
nineteen.
"nineteen?"
Nineteen, twenty...
twenty, thirty.
Where has his life gone?

One day he gathered all his clothes
They wore a coat of
gasoline
And he just said
"that's it"
And decided to become
a new man
a new personality
a new wall
Time to take a stand.
"what wall?"
Over less than an eighth
of his already existant
life
But he just said
"what life?"
"I still see no wall."

Under no influence
He was a person
Original, and bright
And as solid
As they come.
But he has taken someone else
Two others
Three others
And certainly more than four
and made them him.
made them from...
what?
Are they real?
Are they just
concealed
from thee?

And now there is a mass
of eyes I do not know
whenever you are near.
Whenever you are near
You are not you,
anymore.
Are you...
you
anymore?

You do not wonder such things
at such a young age
In such a fresh mind
and body.
An age is but a
number
a mind is but your
own
Is your mind, your own?
And so finally he says
"it's mine."

"A disaster to human kind!"
They cry
"he is ours, ours"

But he is a liar.
Yo.

I either understand it tottally or not at all.
But it's very good. I think one of your better poems, my freind. :) :+fav:
